Glitzy Dubai vs Ras Al-Khaimah ?

Ras Al-Khaimah means top of the tent in Arabic and is one of the 7 Emirates that comprise the UAE. Some say it’s more authentic than the glitz, glamour and sheer bling of Dubai. Well let’s find out.

We’ll be staying half board at Hilton Double Tree and plan to do a full independent family review of  Double Tree, Hotel buffet & facilities, beach, review of the sister, Hilton Resort & Spa and other exciting things for a family to do in Ras Al-Khaimah & surrounding areas.

We’ve booked a hire car via Thrifty (Dubai) and we’ll be using a Google maps to explore the surrounding areas and emirates. We’ll let you know how that goes.

Trip review will be published here with pictures in September 2017.

“…and all around is the desert, a place without expectation, time to reflect and nourish the wisdom of the soul “

Looks too much like a package holiday, will be interested to hear about the desert places to visit around the resort.
